Website : http://www.medsci.nu.ac.th/CEFR

Objectives
1. To gather and support researchers who are interested in fungal research, to conduct research collaboratively
2. To develop highly qualified qualified researchers in fungal research and to promote the education of the university at all levels by providing them a platform to discuss, launch shared initiatives and pool resources
3. To develop and educate highly qualified personnels in fungal research for working in government and the private sectors, which will be a key aspect of the research in the future
4. To generate a body of knowledge recognized both nationally and internationally, and to promote a concrete use of research and knowledge.
5. To build collaborative networks both inside and outside of the university.

Mission
Pioneer Fungal Research

Research Focus
At present, the Centre focuses on four major research areas including:
1. Biodiversity of fungi and mushroom in Lower Northern Thailand
2. Novel bioactive compounds from fungi and mushroom
3. Molecular pathogenesis of pathogenic fungi
4. Plant pathology
