Naresuan University team met with executive members of Semmelweis University, Hungary, headed by Prof. Dr. goston Szl, Rector of the university, to further discuss collaborative activities focusing on health sciences areas.  This was specifically highlighted on capacity upgrade programs for staff members in Dentistry, Optometry, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.  It was also proposed that newly recruited students in Optometry may benefit from a cooperative track of study; i.e., spending first year at Naresuan University and the rest four years at Semmelweis.  Both the groups were also keen to exchange information of curriculum structures in Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Optometry in order to explore feasible mode of exchange activities.  NU was encouraged to seek financial support from the European Commission through ERASMUS+ program paired with Semmelweis University.

Our team later met with Dr. Susan Matthews, Senior Lecturer of School of Pharmacy, University of East Anglia, the U.K.  There has been an increasing need from Naresuan University International College to recruit more international staff (short-term/long-term) to help develop teaching programs in HRM, International Business, and Tourism Business Management.  Dr. Matthews welcomed this request and would also like to have a list of NU staff members who plan to further Ph.D. at UEA.

The meetings took place on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok.
