Naresuan University was privileged to receive Mr. Stphane Roy, Attach for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, and Mr. Pollawat Kantapom, Student Advisor from Campus France, who represented French Embassy in Bangkok to give an overview of the French Republic and detailed information of available grants for staff and students.  Mr. Roy encouraged each of the students to spend time at an overseas country to broaden points of view towards cultural diversities and raise global awareness/mindset to cope well in a dynamic changing world.  The country is well associated with student welfare and an opportunity for students to work part-time, and the recent investment in education and research for 22 billion, accounted for 5.6% of GDP, could prove how serious France is driven towards a destination of studies and sabbaticals.  A series of scholarship opportunities ranged from Erasmus Mundus, Eiffel Scholarships (focusing on Science and Technology and Social Sciences), Franco-Thai, Junior Research Fellowship, and Mobility Program for Research.  More information can be obtained at

The session, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chommanad Intajamornrak, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Service, Faculty of Humanities, was arranged on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 10.30 a.m. at HU1103, Faculty of Humanities.
